Customers can order by voice note

Plenty of customers would rather hold the mic button and read out their list than type it. Now they can. The voice note is turned into text, and from there it is an ordinary order message: matched against your catalogue, checked against your stock, and confirmed by the customer with a tap.

Hold, speak, send

Nothing to set up for the customer and nothing new to learn. They send a normal WhatsApp voice note to your shop's number, and a moment later the same itemised order card they would get for a typed message comes back.

  • “Two kilo atta, one tin ghee and half kilo chilli powder” — one voice note, three order lines.
  • Voice notes up to 90 seconds, which is room to read out a long order.

The customer sees what was heard

Every reply to a voice note starts with a “🎤 Heard: …” line showing the exact text that was understood. That line is what the order was built from, so if a word was misheard the customer can see it and correct it before tapping Confirm.

Handled exactly like a typed message

The voice note is only turned into text. Everything after that is the same path a typed message takes: the same catalogue and aliases, the same clarifying questions for anything unclear, the same stock checks and the same Confirm button. So a voice note can also ask where an order is, cancel one, or add to the order already open.

  • Your product names are used as spelling hints, so your own vocabulary comes through correctly.
  • It never picks a product for the customer. A word that doesn't match is asked about, exactly as it would be if typed.

Nothing is ordered without a tap

A voice note never places an order by itself. It builds a draft the customer reviews, and nothing is reserved or charged until they tap Confirm — the same rule as every other order.

A clear answer when it can't be used

A voice note that is too long, too noisy to make out, or arrives while voice can't be processed gets a short reply asking the customer to send a shorter one or type their order — never silence.

Audio isn't kept

The recording is used only to produce the text and is not stored by OrderAgent. The text is kept like any other message in the conversation, and orders placed by voice are recorded as voice orders — shown as their own channel in the Revenue Dashboard on Pro and Business.

Onboarding is hands-on — a number provisioned for you, your catalogue loaded, your payment details set up with you on the call.
