What OrderAgent is
A plain description of what the product does, what it deliberately does not do, and who it is built for.
OrderAgent is order-management software for distributors and wholesalers whose customers already place their orders over WhatsApp. It does not try to move those customers somewhere else. It reads the messages they already send, turns them into real orders against your real stock, collects payment, checks the receipt, issues the invoice and follows the delivery through.
Who it is for
A shop that recognises most of this:
- Orders arrive as WhatsApp messages, in a group or a dozen separate chats.
- Payments arrive as photos of a transfer confirmation.
- Somebody re-types those orders into a book, a spreadsheet or an accounting package later in the day.
- Stock is a number in somebody's head until it is wrong.
- The owner's phone is the only place any of it lives.
It is built for flour, spice, grocery and general-goods distribution, where the catalogue is stable, the customers are repeat buyers, and the order is a short list of familiar items rather than a browsing experience.
What it does
Understands the message
Free text in English, Tamil, Malay or the romanised mix people actually type is matched against your catalogue — products, aliases, quantities and units.
Drafts an order and asks about anything unclear
An item it cannot resolve becomes a question, never a guess. Extra text that was never a product line — a name, a unit number, a delivery instruction — is kept as a note on the order.
Waits for the customer to confirm
Nothing is committed until they tap Confirm. That tap reserves stock and freezes the prices.
Requests payment and reads the receipt
Your QR and bank details go out with a deadline. The receipt that comes back is checked against six independent conditions.
Waits for you to approve the money
Nothing marks itself paid. Your tap issues the invoice and starts fulfilment.
What it deliberately does not do
Being clear about the boundaries is more useful than a longer feature list.
- It does not auto-approve payments. There is no confidence threshold that unlocks it and no setting that turns it off. See approving payments.
- It does not invent products, prices or quantities. If a line cannot be matched to something you stock, it asks. The language model labels and classifies; it never supplies a number that reaches a customer.
- It does not answer product questions it has no data for. "Is this gluten free?" has no answer in your catalogue, so it does not get a confident one.
- It is not a chat inbox for you to reply from. The dashboard shows you every conversation, read-only. Replying to a customer happens in WhatsApp, where you already are.
- It does not use unofficial WhatsApp libraries. Everything runs on the official WhatsApp Business Platform. Shops that automate through unofficial clients lose their number.
What you need
- A dedicated business phone number — not your personal one. See connecting your WhatsApp number.
- A product list with prices.
- Bank details, and a payment QR image if you use one.
- A phone. There is no desktop requirement; the dashboard is built for a phone first.
