The daily summary
One message each evening: what sold, what is owed, what needs you, and what is running low.
One message each evening, to the owner phone, summarising the day.
Available on Pro and Business.
What it contains
- Orders placed, and their value.
- Payments approved, and their value.
- Orders still awaiting payment, and how much is outstanding.
- Anything still needing a decision.
- Products at or below their low-stock threshold.
When it arrives
After 8pm, in your shop's own time zone, once per day.
It rides the same fifteen-minute sweep that handles payment reminders, so it arrives shortly after 8pm rather than exactly on it. That granularity is exactly what "once, after 8pm, if not already sent" needs.
Quiet days still get one
A day with no orders still produces a summary saying so.
If it fails
The day is only marked as summarised after the message has successfully been handed off. A failure leaves the day unmarked and the next sweep tries again.
If it still cannot be delivered by the end of the day, you get an alert saying so. That alert has no customer behind it and shows in the inbox as shop-wide.
Why it is usually free-form
Scheduled messages normally need an approved template, and template parameters cannot carry line breaks — so the digest could never be a template.
In practice this rarely matters: your own 24-hour window is almost always open,
because approving a payment, sending LOGIN or marking an order packed all
reset it. So the summary goes as an ordinary message with its formatting
intact.
